Beyond the pitch, Hanwood FC is deeply embedded in the local community. We organise events, support local initiatives, and strive to make a positive impact in Hanwood and the surrounding areas. Our recent announcement of a new Academy Development Program for 2024 underscores our commitment to the future development of juniors, welcoming players to trial and participate in competitive competitions throughout the year.
At Hanwood FC, our mission is to nurture soccer talent from U6s to Seniors, providing a supportive environment that encourages both personal and athletic development. We believe in the power of sport to bring people together, instill discipline, and build lasting friendships.
OUR LEGACY, MISSION, AND COMMUNITY
Established in 1955, Hanwood Football Club has been a cornerstone of the Hanwood community for decades. From our early days, we've grown into a vibrant organisation, fostering talent and promoting the love of soccer across all age groups. Hanwood Football Club has a strong focus on nurturing the next generation of footballers and in total we have approximately 550 registered participants across both junior and senior. In 2025, we’re fielding an incredible 37 teams in the Griffith Competition from U5’s to U16’s boys and girls – 35% of which are female players, and 7 teams in the Senior Wagga Competition.
